HMD is pulling the plug on Nokia phones in the US

Nokia's US run is over as HMD decided to scale back.

HMD Global, the company behind Nokia-branded smartphones, is shifting its focus away from the U.S. market, leaving fans wondering what this means for the future of the Nokia brand. HMD Global told The Verge that it is scaling back its presence in the U.S., which could mean no new Nokia phones will be launching stateside anytime soon. The company is calling it “scaling back,” but it looks more like it's fully stepping away from selling phones in the U.S. It’s a quiet exit from a market HMD never quite managed to crack.
