How gamers pushed Razer on sustainability | Min-Liang Tan interview

I was able to sit down with Min-Liang Tan, CEO of Razer, the gaming lifestyle company who motto is "by gamers, for gamers."

In the booth, I saw the company’s commitment to use 40% recycled materials in PC products such as headsets, a focus on right to repair so that older computers can remain useful for longer, campaigns to inform consumers about its sustainability efforts, and its certification by third-parties like Underwriters Laboratory. Up to 40% of Razer’s products will be made of recycled material. We’ve realized that as sustainability has become a buzzword, while we’re ahead of that curve, many people are going in that direction at the same time. You can go and say, “I’d like to have Master Chief from Halo in the middle of a Diablo hellscape.” Boom, it generates that absolutely free in super high quality.
