How I Built My Blog
I recently launched a brand new version of this blog, and in this post, I share how it’s built! We’ll examine the tech stack and see how all of the pieces fit together, as well as dig into some of the details to see how they work.
Sandpack does support static templates, but they rely on Service Workers, which are sometimes blocked by browser privacy settings, leading to broken user experiences. I spent an unreasonable amount of time on contextual styles, making sure that my generic “LEGO brick” components composed nicely together. I’m a bit concerned about the SEO impact of a lower Lighthouse score, but I think if the Next team addresses the CSS bundling issue, it should wind up being roughly equivalent.
