How Israel Defended Against Iran's Drone and Missile Attack


The Iron Dome is going to be put to the test—but it's not Israel's only line of defense.

As the drones made their way across the Middle East en route to their target, Israel has invoked a number of defense systems to impede their progress. “All of that process was designed for defense against low-flying, fast-moving missiles,” says Iain Boyd, director of the Center for National Security Initiatives at the University of Colorado. Prior to WIRED he was the editor in chief of the tech and culture site Gizmodo and was a business reporter for the Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan’s largest daily newspaper.
