I think one thing that stood out to me too from that story about the recruiting tactics is in some instances these were former interns or former employees at companies like Palantir dipping back into their networks to ask people to raise a hand. After our reporting, The Wall Street Journal was able to confirm that Elez had actually ended up resigning, according to the White House, due to a flurry of racist social media posts that were discovered that he had links to.
