I still like Sublime Text
I still use Sublime Text in 2025 even after trying a lot of other editors
I'm sure there is some other older app that had a precursor or similar feature to it, but generally speaking, it seems like that user experience pattern really kicked off with Sublime. There are a few "cutting-edge" LSPs that are installed via Cargo that are usually only targeting Neovim, but can easily be configured in Sublime with a simple JSON object. But forcing an NPM account and having to juggle the mixing of git tags and the package.json"version" key to be a bit unclear at times.
