ICEBlock, an app for anonymously reporting ICE sightings, goes viral

The citizen app for anonymously reporting ICE agents and raids went viral after criticism from the U.S. Attorney General.

ICEBlock had about 20,000 users, mostly in Los Angeles, where ICE raids have become commonplace over recent weeks, according to CNN. ICEBlock allows users to lawfully share information about where they have seen ICE within a five-mile radius of their location. The app also sends notifications when ICE agents are sighted nearby to the user’s location.
