Impressive Sora Demo Wasn't Made with Sora

A viral two-minute short titled "Air Head," created in part by using OpenAI's video-generating Sora tool, required a good bit human editing.

The two-minute video follows a yellow balloon-headed man named Sunny, whose disembodied voice provides an inspiring narration about embracing our big ideas and what makes us different as he and his helium cranium traverse cities, office spaces, meadows, and more. That same scene also required that Shy Kids eliminate more unwanted artifacts, including a maniquin-esque head that Sora had given Sunny's human body. And though OpenAI's demos might've had you thinking otherwise, it seems that Sora still has a long way to go before it's generating studio-ready movie clips without some good old-fashioned human intervention.
