Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC will adjust difficulty levels depending on your progress in the base game

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's DLC will adjust the difficultly levels to make it harder the further you have progressed in the base game.

You see, the developers have been rather clever with the DLC's implementation, and the Order of Giants will scale the difficulty depending on how far through the base game you are. "Players who are at the end of the game don't need to worry about the difficulty [being too easy] as actually we have a new system in place where players are dynamically scaled based on how far they progressed," creative director Axel Torvenius and lead game designer Zeke Virant explained in an interview with IGN. What will happen, then, is if players have made it to the Vatican and Rome, but haven't progressed any further into the game, they will enter the DLC on the "first tier of difficulty".
