Bloomberg's Mark Gurman corroborated the report in his Power On newsletter today.Gurman said that Meta employees are "actively testing" Instagram for the iPad, and he expects the app to be released this year, barring any setbacks. Isn't it curious that the government (both US and EU) love to call out Apple for anticompetitivness or even monopoly, but seemed disconcerned that META would not provide an Instagram app for iPad until (sometime). Instagram Threads, Meta’s X competitor, has now grown to over 350 million monthly active users, CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed during the company’s Q1 2025 earnings call on Wednesday.
