Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp are coming back online after widespread 'technical issues'

Meta is experience an outage across Instagram, Threads, Whatsapp and more that's preventing users from accessing sites or posting.

Meta apps and services like Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Messenger are down as part of an apparent outage. Staff at Engadget and users across X and Bluesky have reported issues loading Meta’s websites and logging in. Meta last dealt with a major outage in March 2024 that prevented users from accessing its apps and services for two hours.
