Intel Engineer Posts Cache-Aware Load Balancing For Linux - May Be Very Useful For AMD

An exciting new Linux kernel patch series was posted today for testing..

Intel engineer Peter Zijlstra posted the "request for comments" (RFC) patch series today for introducing cache-aware load balancing. Anyway, I wrote this about a year ago, and I mentioned this at the recent OSPM conf where Gautham and Prateek expressed interest in playing with this code. So even if Peter doesn't have the bandwidth to carry this to the finish line in the near-term and get it mainlined, hopefully the AMD engineers will step up and test out these patches and get it tuned up into shape for upstreaming.
