The Intel Media Driver is out with its quarterly feature release for bringing all of the latest open-source video acceleration improvements for Intel graphics hardware on Linux

Today's Intel Media Driver 2025Q2 release brings Panther Lake video encoding support. Additionally, there are HDR playback stability enhancements for Panther Lake with this quarterly Intel Media Driver release. Intel integrated and discrete graphics hardware back to the Broadwell days continues to be supported by this open-source VA-API driver on Linux systems.
