Although we’ve historically relied on our open source license for Firefox and public commitments to you, we are building in a much different technology landscape today. And actually asking you to acknowledge it is an important step, so we’re making it a part of the standard product experience starting in early March for new users and later this year for existing ones. Some optional Firefox features or services may require us to collect additional data to make them work, and when they do, your privacy remains our priority.
