iOS 18 will let you record calls — and tells everyone for their privacy


Apple will let you transcribe audio in the Notes app, too.

The company announced the feature during its Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday and says it will automatically tell call participants that they’re being recorded. As noted in the footnote on Apple’s , audio transcription will only be available in English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Portuguese. Apple Intelligence took the main stage during WWDC, but there are many other neat features coming to iOS 18, including a customizable homepage, changes to Control Center, improvements to Tapback responses, and more.
