Irregular raises $80 million to secure frontier AI models


Irregular, the AI security startup, now has a valuation of $450 million, a source close to the deal told TechCrunch.

On Wednesday, AI security firm Irregular announced $80 million in new funding in a round led by Sequoia Capital and Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport. At the same time, AI models are increasingly adept at finding software vulnerabilities — a power with serious implications for both attackers and defenders. He previously worked at The Verge and Rest of World, and has written for Wired, The Awl and MIT’s Technology Review.
