Is PSVR 2 wireless? Here's what you need to know
Sony's PS5 headset is wired for a reason, but we might get a wireless PSVR 2 model in the future
The PSVR 2 ticks almost every box that VR enthusiasts could hope for – and on paper, Sony’s PS5 headset is a formidable opponent for competing companies to contend with. The PSVR 2’s lack of wireless functionality means you’ll have to keep the headset’s cable in mind as you play, or you could end up pulling your PS5 off its stand or – even worse – tripping and hurting yourself. On the other hand, the PSVR 2 needs a PS5 to work and isn’t a self-contained system, which means the PlayStation 5 console is doing the vast majority of the heavy lifting.
