James Carter Cathcart, a voice actor who starred as several popular character in the “ Pokemon ” franchise, died Tuesday after a battle with throat cancer. Cathcart retired from voice acting in 2023 due to his throat cancer diagnosis, having started in the series’ first episode all the way through Season 25.
