John Wick: Ballerina passes the torch to a tiny dancer in first trailer

Ana de Armas is ready to kill in the new John Wick spinoff.

The first trailer for director Len Wiseman’s awkwardly named ​​From the World of John Wick: Ballerina spinoff film is here, and while it doesn’t feature a premiere date, it does have an unhinged spin on Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” that honestly kinda works. The trailer details how, in her quest to hunt down the people who murdered her family, Eve will encounter other classic John Wick characters like Charon (Lance Reddick in his final posthumous onscreen role) and newcomers like Anjelica Huston’s The Director. And while some of the action on display feels a bit like it’s aping Marvel’s Black Widow, shots like the flamethrower / firehose fight make Ballerina seem like it might feature some surprise delights.
