JP morgan chase disables internal comments after employees backlash return to office policy

JPMorgan Chase management disabled comments on an internal webpage where the policy was announced, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The change, which was first reported by Bloomberg, primarily impacts back-office employees, such as call center workers, who had previously been allowed to work remotely two days a week. One person close to the matter told the Wall Street Journal that JPMorgan frequently disables comments on posts that receive a high volume of engagement. The return-to-office mandate mirrors similar moves by other major companies, including Amazon, which recently called employees back to the office full-time after a period of flexible policies initiated during the pandemic.
