Kamala Harris Targets Youth Vote With Taylor Swift Snapchat Filter
Taylor Swift is back on tour in Miami this weekend, and Harris allies are buying up billboards and Snapchat filters to remind fans to vote.
They allow users in the swing states to declare they are “fearless” for one of several Harris campaign themes (including “reproductive rights,” “democracy,” “climate action” and “student loan debt relief.”) “This election will determine the future for young voters, from student loan debt relief and economic opportunity to whether they have fewer rights than their grandmothers did,” said Rosemary Boeglin, DNC communications director. Musical guests remain unannounced, but the candidate’s supporters include Bruce Springsteen, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, among many others.
