The offerings are generally some combination of product and concepts, the latter of which may well never see the light of day, but they serve as a consistent reminder than it’s still possible for PC makers to think outside the box. The easiest answer to the “why” of the product is “because it’s neat.” More pragmatically, however, is the ability to port around a significantly larger screen in a relatively small form factor. Notably, the case and base of the system were constructed out of a combination of bamboo and corn, in a bid to move toward more sustainable hardware manufacturing.
