Lessons learned as a recruiter hiring developers the last decade
I started my career as a tech recruiter in 2008 and I remember contacting candidates via ICQ. Over the past decade, as technology has rapidly evolved, so has the recruiting landscape. However, some basic communication and networking remain the same. Here are my 15 lessons learned working as a tech
Tech recruitment is not rocket science, but mastering all aspects of the industry will take a chunk of time. Being quick to reply, sharing feedback, or sending a job offer is your responsibility, not your competitive advantage. Knowing what "ATS," "employer branding," "hiring funnel," and other industry-specific terms mean doesn't make you a good recruiter.
