Letterboxd will launch a curated online rental service for films


It should offer movies with limited releases, from up-and-coming filmmakers and more.

The social media platform for movie lovers announced the news during the Cannes Film Festival. The Letterboxd Video Store will have curated rental categories such as up-and-coming filmmakers, under-appreciated movies and more on demand. “Every day, we see members recommending films to each other, adding to their watchlists and hungry to discover more,” Letterboxd CEO Matthew Buchanan stated.
