LibreSSL 4.1 released today as the newest version of this SSL/TLS library project forked a decade ago by OpenBSD from OpenSSL. LibreSSL 4.1 introduces new SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512 Assembly implementations for x86_64 with modern AMD and Intel processors. These new SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-512 implementations for x86_64 make use of the SHA-NI instructions when available and replay old Perl-generated Assembly code.
