Linum (YC W23) is a hiring a founding AI engineer to train text-to-video models
We’re looking for a founding AI Engineer to join our team to support our machine learning research and model training efforts. You will work in the core loop of implementing research papers, building datasets, training, and productizing. While most of the work will focus on these areas, we are a small team – and you will have to be flexible in picking up new skills as necessary. #### Responsibilities: * Prototype and scale datasets for model training * Brainstorm and implement new model architectures * Optimize models for inference and production deployment #### Ideally You: * Are extremely comfortable in **Python & PyTorch** * Have **2-3 years** **of industry experience as an Applied ML Engineer/Researcher or equivalent research experience** (e.g. undergrad/master’s research thesis) * Have some **experience training generative AI models** (_doesn’t have to be video but could be in adjacent domains like LLMs, text-to-image, text-to-3D, NERFs, etc_.) * Have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Physics, Applied Math, or Statistics. We’re a big believer that small, in-person teams are the ones that invent the future. We work out of Potrero Hill in San Francisco. **Must be based in SF or willing to relocate.**
Over the next ten years, we’re going to witness a shift in animation, tv, and film similar to what we’ve seen with YouTube - where most narrative content will be generated by everyday people. These models will serve as the foundation for a new suite of creative tools that will allow anyone to become a modern day Walt Disney - bringing their wildest dreams to the screen.
