Linux Mint 22.3 Planned To Bring More Wayland Improvements

While Linux Mint 22.2 was just released one week ago, Linux Mint developers are planning for a Linux Mint 22.3 update before year's end.

LMDE is the project's hedge against any issues where if in the future they would have any problems with their main Ubuntu package base. LMDE 7 will use Debian 13 packages while pulling in the improvements from Linux Mint 22.2 and also add support for OEM installations. With their ongoing Wayland work, Linux Mint 22.3 aims to provide Wayland-compatible handling for keyboard layouts and input methods.
