Linux Mint Continues Working On Its libAdwaita Fork, Fingerprint Authentication

The Linux Mint project published its newest monthly status report to outline various interesting development activities around this Linux desktop distribution project building off Ubuntu and Debian bases.

Another big undertaking is Linux Mint developers working on a new app called Fingwit that they will be using for fingerprint authentication. Their Fingwit tool allows for configuring your fingerprint reader and enabling authentication for the login screen, screensaver, sudo commands, and other admin apps. Michael is also the lead developer of the Phoronix Test Suite, Phoromatic, and OpenBenchmarking.org automated benchmarking software.
