The Wall Street Journal reports that long Covid "has pushed around one million Americans out of the labor force, economists estimate." About 3.6 million people reported significantly modifying their activities because of the illness in a recent survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. People were more likely to develop long Covid at the start of the pandemic, according to a study published in July in the New England Journal of Medicine.
