Looks like TikTok employees are the latest victims of the tech layoffs, according to new report


TikTok employees told The Information the company said the layoffs would mostly impact its user operations and marketing teams.

The video-sharing app already laid off dozens of employees at the top of the year, but The Information noted TikTok rarely carries out large-scale layoffs like those that have been more common at other tech companies. The biggest news stories this morning: Apple brings eye tracking to recent iPhones and iPads, Bandai is finally rereleasing a beloved Tamagotchi from 2004, Android 15 will make it harder for phone thieves to steal your data. "For the first time in history, Congress has enacted a law that subjects a single, named speech platform to a permanent, nationwide ban, and bars every American from participating in a unique online community with more than 1 billion people worldwide," the lawsuit reads.
