Lost your luggage? iOS 18.2 will let you share your Apple AirTag's info with airlines

The latest beta of iOS 18.2 adds a new location-sharing feature to help locate lost items with officials

The company just dropped the second iOS 18.2 beta, and in it is a new feature that lets you share the location of your AirTag with a trusted person, airline, police officer, and more to help you find missing items. It usually involves adding others as trusted people and connecting your AirTag with their Apple Account, which isn’t wise for quickly finding your lost luggage at the airport. In addition, Apple is adding the ability to view the email address and phone number associated with a lost AirTag so you can easily return it to its owner.
