Mario Kart World takes Nintendo into another open world | hands-on gameplay


Nintendo wants Mario Kart World to be the reason players buy a Switch 2. But can it really convince us to pay $80 for a game and $450 for a new console?

For sure, it represents a generational change in improvement over Mario Kart 8, which has been showing its age. The Switch 2 Mario Kart Open World game, which I got to play a few times yesterday, is certainly impressive. Nintendo has clearly put a lot of polish into the game and given us a great deal of variety in terms of tracks and characters to play.
