Massive AT&T outage caused by software update not cyber attack, company says


A major AT&T outage this week meant thousands of US customers were unable to call or text. Even calling 911 was out of the question.

The most impacted areas included Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta and at one point, customer complaints reached a high of 74,000. The San Francisco Fire Department also urged people to call from a landline if they’re unable to get ahold of vital services.
