Regarding the 70% new claim to the 2022 edition, Ball said there are 40-plus charts and graphs, new chapters on AI, 3D Graphics, and XR devices and updates on timely topics like Epic’s partnerships with Disney + Lego to create a games/entertainment universe. I finished the first edition and found it to be a great read that communicated some important conclusions — like the notion that developers won’t be able to build the metaverse so long as they’re stuck paying 30% platform fees to tech giants.
