Mediatek DRM Driver Prepares For HDMI 2.0 With MT8195/MT8188


The Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) updates have been submitted for the Mediatek driver in advance of the upcoming Linux 6.16 merge window.

The Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) updates have been submitted for the Mediatek driver in advance of the upcoming Linux 6.16 merge window. Preparation patches have been queued up for working to enable HDMIv2 and version 2 Display Data Channel (DDC) IP for both the MT8188 and MT8195 SoCs. These tentative patches have been tested by Collabora's AngeloGioacchino Del Regno up to that 4K@60 threshold as well as dual display use-cases.
