Mesh: I tried Htmx, then ditched it
Alex Moon is an Australian-British software engineer and artist based in the North East of England.
My mission was, in a word, to write something like an opinionated framework or "harness" for HTMX which would give me a standard way to use it with Web Components. If, in our response to a call to the card endpoint, we return any other components that need updating, and simply flag them as OOB, HTMX will handle the swaps for us. I, for one, don't believe the HTMX spec, or something like it, will be merged back into HTML, at least until it can answer one fundamental question: what is the default swap behaviour?
