Meta AI comment summaries is turned on in your settings by default: How to turn it off


You may not even know it, but the Meta AI feature called "comment summaries" is likely turned on in your Facebook settings. Here's how to turn it off.

Users of Meta products, including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, have flocked to forums on Reddit and elsewhere looking for ways to turn specific features off since the company rolled out its AI integration in April. USA TODAY has reached out to Meta for clarity on how posts and comments are selected and used in making content summaries. While turning this off may not prevent your content from being used to train Meta AI, it will stop the summaries, which are prone to inaccuracies, from appearing on your feed.
