According to The Verge, the company got an earful in the form of lawyer-submitted smackdowns from fellow tech giants who were less than thrilled over the fact that Meta’s legal filings in its antitrust case against the Federal Trade Commission were so poorly redacted that they revealed internal information from Snapchat, Google, and Apple. That did not inspire confidence among the legal representation for companies, including Apple, Google, and Snapchat, that Meta was doing all it could to keep proprietary information protected. Reporting from the Wall Street Journal indicated that CEO Mark Zuckerberg thought his buddying up to President Trump would make the case go away for a small settlement.
