Micron is getting billions more in taxpayer money than anyone is talking about


The $6.1 billion in federal grants announced in Syracuse is only the start of public subsidies.

In a visit to Syracuse last month, President Joe Biden announced that Micron Technology would get up to $6.1 billion in grants to build chipmaking factories in Central New York and Idaho. Biden did not mention a federal tax credit that would give Micron a much bigger taxpayer subsidy.
