Microsoft has decided to donate the Mono Project to the developers of Wine, FOSS that allows Windows applications to run on Unix-like operating systems. "It is an open source implementation of Microsoft's .NET Framework based on the ECMA standards for C# and the Common Language Runtime." We want to recognize that the Mono Project was the first .NET implementation on Android, iOS, Linux, and other operating systems.
