Microsoft patches more than 100 Windows security flaws - update your PC now
Among the 107 vulnerabilities fixed in the latest Windows update, 13 are rated critical.
Across the board, the patches fix security flaws in core Windows features such as File Explorer, Remote Desktop, and Hyper-V, as well as bugs in Microsoft Office, Edge, and Teams. Designated as CVE-2025-53779, this one points to a flaw in the Windows Kerberos authentication system, which is used to verify the identity of users in an Active Directory Domain. When a critical boot-up glitch occurs, your PC will enter WinRE mode, connect to your network, and then send diagnostic data to Microsoft.
