Microsoft pauses Windows 11 updates for PCs with some Ubisoft games installed

Windows 11 24H2 is crashing Star Wars Outlaws and others.

Microsoft has stopped offering updates to Windows 11 version 24H2 on PCs that have certain Ubisoft games installed, Bleeping Computer reports. The company made the move after complaints that Star Wars Outlaws and games in the Assassin’s Creed series were crashing after installing the new Windows update. Ubisoft wrote in an update on Thursday that it had released a temporary hotfix (version 1.0.4.0), but says players “may experience some performance issues” until it has figured out a permanent solution.
