Microsoft stops using Bing to trick people into thinking they’re on Google

Microsoft has quietly killed off its spoofed Google search UI that appeared on Bing in early January.

By Tom Warren, a senior editor and author of Notepad, who has been covering all things Microsoft, PC, and tech for over 20 years. The misleading UI no longer appears on the Google search result of Bing this week, just days after it was originally discovered by posters on Reddit. Microsoft has even previously had to reverse pop-up ads inside Google Chrome to address “unintended behavior.”
