Alongside more regular content releases for Minecraft, Mojang said it's been focusing on "long-term initiatives to ensure we can continue to evolve [the game] long into the future". There's no word on when this might arrive, but the studio added it plans to explore ways to improve Minecraft’s multiplayer experience over the coming year, making it easier to find and connect with friends. This is shifting from an annual event to a twice-yearly stream, with both shows detailing "the latest features we're working on, what's coming into testing, and the newest news from across the Minecraft franchise".
