Minecraft is ending all virtual reality support next spring

For Minecraft players, virtual reality will soon go the way of a hissing creeper. Mojang is ending support for all VR and MR platforms after March 2025.

After the final March 2025 update, the patch notes clarify that "you can keep building in your worlds, and your Marketplace purchases (including Minecoins) will continue to be available on a non-VR/MR graphics device such as a computer monitor." Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian will deliver his keynote speech for CES 2025 at the Sphere venue in Las Vegas, using its powerful technologies. Amazon wanted to go in a different direction for its God of War live-action adaptation, Deadline says, and has hired Ronald D. Moore as its new showrunner.
