MoltenVK 1.3-rc1 was released today as the first test release of this updated Apple iOS / macOS / tvOS / visionOS layer that implements the Vulkan API atop the Apple Metal drivers. Tracking for the past two years has been this issue ticket for the Vulkan 1.3 requirements needing to be supported by MoltenVK. There is already this issue ticket for MoltenVK to track the needed Vulkan 1.4 features.
