Mozilla Firefox Adds Support for AI-Powered Nvidia RTX Video

The popular open-source browser is the latest to incorporate AI upscaling and high-dynamic range for NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

The algorithm then combines this predicted image with a traditionally upscaled version to reduce or eliminate compression artifacts and sharpen the final output. “Video is a core pillar of the modern web, and we are committed to delivering a great experience for our users,” said Bobby Holley, chief technology officer of Firefox at Mozilla. Firefox joins other Chromium-based browsers, including Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, in supporting RTX Video.
