My 5 simple tricks to extend iPhone battery life when traveling (including older models)

Preventing your iPhone from running out of juice when you're on the go all day is a challenge. Here's what I do to keep mine powered on.

In my case, I turn off the background refresh for all apps except the ones for navigation, ride sharing, messaging, and a few others that I need during a typical day of travel.
