The story of starting and exiting a digital alcohol rebates tech startup.

BYBE's foundation was taking shape: I wanted to build a platform that bridged the regulatory divide while empowering brands and retailers to collaborate within the confines of the law, no matter the state. This would create a dynamic where alcohol brands were incentivized to allocate their budgets, knowing their content would be featured prominently in retail apps, resulting in more sales in-store. By focusing on the regulatory side of the alcohol industry and leveraging the very constraints that seemed like obstacles, I was able to build a competitive moat that protected BYBE from potential in-house development by retailers.
