NASA launches Lunar Trailblazer satellite to hunt for water on the moon's surface

A new chapter in lunar exploration is unfolding as NASA sends a satellite to map out where the water is on the moon.

Scientists suspect the water will be found in the permanently shadowed craters at the moon's poles. The Lunar Trailblazer spacecraft was built by aerospace defense company Lockheed Martin. When its solar panels are fully deployed, the satellite reportedly weighs about 200kg and measures around 3.5m wide.
